About us

The London Wine Cellar was founded in 2013 as the buying arm of wine merchant Hatton & Edwards Fine Wine. The company specialises in buying private collections of Fine Wines & Spirits from members of the public.

We are proudly buyers not brokers, all stock listed with our sister Merchant Hatton & Edwards Fine Wine is our own stock and ready immediately.

The fact we are not tied to any producers, have no allocations to maintain nor stock thousands of esoteric wines means we can be extremely dynamic. It allows us to offer the fastest, most competitive, hassle-free selling solution on the market, whatever the size of the collection and wherever it may be.

Based on leafy Petherton Road in Canonbury, North London, we have extensive temperature controlled, high security cellars beneath our offices with a beautiful tasting room upstairs. Meaning our customers can drop off their bottles or cases, being paid instantly and enjoy a glass of wine whilst doing so!
