Payment is made once we have received and checked your stock. For collections made from your home, this is usually within 48hrs of collection – we will usually receive your stock the day after it is collected from you, and it is then checked into the warehouse within 24hrs.
No, the prices on the offer are the NET figures you would receive, with no deductions or costs. The only times the price could change is if the wine has been listed incorrectly, or if the condition doesn’t match our expectations – see more about condition issue here. If the price does need to change, you are under no obligation to proceed, we can always return the stock to you at our cost if you would prefer.
For offers over £200, we take care of all of the logistics at our cost. For offers between £100-£200, you will simply need to package up the stock, and we will pay for the collection at the same time. Under £100, we will contribute £5 towards your Postage & Packaging costs – this will be added to your offer following acceptance.
If the value of your wines is over £200, we will cover the cost of your transfer fees if your merchant charges you. As their client, you would need to pay it in the first instance, but if you forward us their invoice, we will add that to the payment for your wines.
We’re just as happy to buy a single bottle of vintage champagne as we are a large cellar crammed with hundreds of cases. Providing your collection is valued at £50 and over, we are not limited by a minimum or maximum spend, so we’re here for everyone looking to sell.
Our team draws not only on the latest global market data, but also years of experience, to assess the value of your wine. Since we never use automated services to assess your wines, each case or bottle that you bring to us will be personally valued by a member of our team; this way we’re able to ensure that we can always uphold our offers.
Payment is made via bank transfer. We make one payment run at the end of every weekday.
We offer unrivalled logistics solutions for all Duty Paid and In Bond stock. Whether a specialist wine courier, DHL, or even a member of our team, how we’ll collect will depend on the size, value and location of your stock, but rest assured that we’ll take care of all the logistics and will give you all the information you need.
You can find out more on our Logistics page.
If our offer is for more than £200, we will send you specialist packaging to use if we’re collecting with DHL. If it is below £200, then you will need to wrap the bottle in plenty of bubble wrap and place it in a sturdy box, ensuring that there is no room for the bottle to move around in the box.
You can see some examples on out Packaging page, or if you have any questions or require further advice, please contact [email protected]
Our driver will bring packaging with him, but if you have any of the below already, then that would be perfectly suitable:
Yes, if your wine is collected by our in-house courier or by LCB then it is fully insured in transit. If it is collected by DHL, then it is also insured, but it is imperative that the wine is properly packaged. Please see our Packaging page for further information on readying your stock for DHL.
We have accounts with a number of bonded warehouses, so the instructions you need to give your merchant will depend on where your wine is stored. For the majority of our clients it’s best to transfer to our London City Bond Eton Park account, but our logistics team will confirm with you, and will share details that you can simply copy and paste to your merchant.
No, it’s best to keep wine under bond, so that Duty and VAT don’t have to be paid. We will share transfer instructions for you to pass on to your merchant, so that the wines can remain under bond.
If your package is being collected by DHL, then you will receive a tracking link via email. If you don’t receive we can share your Waybill reference number, which can be used to track your package.
