Fine wine and spirits valuation for probate

For all valuation enquiries related to probate: timothy@thelondonwinecellar.com

We frequently assist lawyers and trustees during probate by providing independent valuations of wine and spirits. Whether the estate contains a large collection or a single bottle, we are able to provide an accurate and hassle-free valuation with speed. Uniquely, The London Wine Cellar (TLWC) offer a price match guarantee. We will match any genuine outright purchase offer received from a reputable UK merchant, ensuring that our clients get the most competitive prices but with the added benefit of immediate collection and payment terms.

Since The London Wine Cellar was established, our team have worked hard to
build an impeccable reputation, becoming one of the UK’s leading wine buyers.
Our simple three-step buying process makes valuing for probate simple and straight forward.

From start to finish, each valuation is carefully and personally managed by one of our team.

Each valuation we provide is individual and personally managed by one of our team from start to finish. We use high quality, up-to-date global market data to produce our valuations and never use automated services, meaning our service is personal and tailored to each client. A valuation from us is not purely a quote, but also a firm commitment to purchase the goods when the probate finalises should you choose to proceed with us.

The price quoted is the net figure you will receive with no hidden fees or disappointment and because we are buyers and not brokers, this eliminates the uncertainty and risk. Unlike auction houses or brokers, payment is immediate and guaranteed upon checking of goods.

For collections stored at home or privately, TLWC pay in full at the time of collection as inspection can easily be made in situ by a member of the team.

For collections stored within a bonded warehouse TLWC makes payments within 5 working days of receipt of goods as we rely on the bonded warehouse to provide condition reports to verify the stock prior to payment. We do take probate valuations on a case by case basis, and in some instances a fee may be charged for this service. If you have any questions about this, please do contact us directly to find out more.

If you are looking for a valuation for probate, simply complete our valuation form or speak to one of our team by calling 020 7377 8097. If it is best for us to come to site to inspect and value the collection, please contact us to arrange this and we would be delighted to help.
