How we make selling wine and spirits seamless

Our free wine valuation service is proudly individual; 
each valuation, large or small, is carefully hand managed by one of our team.

How do you get
 a wine valuation?

We need to know the details of what wines you have, including vintage, quantity, format etc., and we will then make you an itemised offer. There are a number of ways you share your list:

One of our Buying Team will create a personalised valuation for you, showing a line-by-line breakdown for exactly what we would pay you for each of your wines.

Getting your wine to us

For offers over £200, we take care of all of the logistics at our cost. Whether this means sending you protective packaging and a pre-paid return label with DHL, using our specialist hand-courier, or instructing your merchant to transfer the wines to our bonded warehouse, our logistics team will send you detailed instructions for how best to proceed.

For offers between £100-£200, we’ll email you a pre-paid collection label to print out, and below £100 we will contribute £5 towards your P&P costs.

You can also drop your wines off at our warehouse, we just need to agree a suitable time with you in advance.

When do I receive payment for my wine?

We check Duty Paid stock into our London warehouse within 24hrs of receipt. If stock is in good order, you are then added to our next payment run (usually the day after physical receipt). If there are any issues, we will contact you to explain the issue and how it would affect the price. You can then choose to proceed, or to have the wine returned to you at our cost, so there is no risk to you.

In bond stock is paid for as soon as we have condition reports back from the bond.

Why should you sell wine with us?

We know that your time is valuable, but that you also want to achieve the best price for your wine – we therefore create each valuation by hand, and put our strongest foot forward from the outset.

It is rare that we are beaten on price, but if you do receive a higher offer then we are very happy to discuss it with you. It may be that you have been given an unrealistic broking or auction estimate, but, if it is a like-for-like offer, then you can rely on our price-match guarantee to ensure that you get the best deal overall. You can then rest easy, knowing that your price is secured, rather than waiting with hope for auctions or broking deals to come through.
